Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov

translated by Paul Schmidt.

Presented in 2012 by the Hungry River Theater Company in Ridgecrest, CA

A family in a remote, military town, always looking for a way out and never finding it. Hungry River performed this story specifically for Ridgecrest, CA, a remote military town in California, where many residents yearn for Los Angeles, the way Irina yearns for Moscow. Repetition, waiting, and the slow, haphazard creation of meaning for our lives were central themes of the production.
